1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use bcinexam.ca and the BCIN Exam study service. By creating an account or buying exam access, you agree to them. BCIN Exam is operated by NiShre Inc., from Ontario, Canada. You can reach us at hi@bcinexam.ca, or see contact us.
2. The exams and our questions
BCIN Exam is not affiliated with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing or Humber Polytechnic.
Our questions are original practice questions written from the published Ontario Building Code. They are not real exam questions, and we never ask for or accept real exam content. Please do not share questions from the actual exams with us or anyone else.
3. Educational use
BCIN Exam helps you prepare. Your result on the exam depends on you, and no study resource can promise a pass. Our content is study material, not legal, financial or professional advice. Exam rules, dates, fees and laws change, so always confirm official details with Humber Polytechnic and the Ministry.
4. Your account
- Give accurate details, keep your password private, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
- An account is for one person. Sharing an account or its content is not allowed.
- You must be at least 16 to create an account, and the age of majority in your province to buy exam access.
- You can close your account at any time in Settings.
5. Free account and paid exam access
- The free account is free and has no time limit. What it includes is listed on the pricing page and may change.
- You can buy access to one exam for CA$99, or to all exams for CA$199. Each purchase is one payment for 6 months of access, starting when your payment is confirmed. You can buy several single exams, each with its own 6 months. Nothing renews automatically, and you are never charged again unless you choose to buy again.
- Access to an exam opens its full question bank, topic quizzes and full timed simulations. The study guides stay free.
- Prices are in Canadian dollars. We are not registered for GST/HST at this time, so no sales tax is added: the price you see is the total you pay.
- We may change prices for future purchases; a change never affects access you have already paid for.
- Before you pay, the checkout shows the sellerβs legal name and contact details, the total price, and these terms.
6. Refunds
Please try the free quiz for your exam before you buy. All sales are final, except where the law requires a refund. Nothing in these terms limits a refund you are entitled to by law.
- If a payment is refunded or reversed, the access it bought ends.
- If you think you were charged in error, email hi@bcinexam.ca from your account email.
7. Using the content
All study content on BCIN Exam, including questions, explanations, the study guides and the Calculation Lab, belongs to BCIN Exam or its licensors and is protected by copyright. You may use it for your own personal, non commercial study. You may not:
- copy, download, record, reproduce, publish, sell or share the content, in whole or in part;
- share your account or let others use it;
- use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to access or collect the content;
- interfere with the security or operation of the service.
Your notes and highlights stay yours. You let us store and display them to you so the service can work.
8. Changes to the service
We keep improving BCIN Exam and may add, change or remove content and features, for example when the Building Code, the Act or the exams change. Access you have already paid for keeps running for its full period.
9. Suspension and closing accounts
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, for example by sharing content or the account. Where a breach is serious, access ends without a refund. Otherwise, we will tell you what the problem is and give you a chance to fix it.
10. Liability
We work hard to keep the content accurate and the service available, but we provide it as is and cannot promise that it will always be error free or uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under the law of your province, including the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in Canada, you keep any protection your own province's law gives you.
12. Changes to these terms
We will post any change on this page with a new date and, for a material change, tell you by email before it takes effect. Changes never reduce access you have already paid for. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your personal information.
